Practice Creative Writing Piece

Your homework task is to produce a practice piece of creative writing using the image below as a "trigger".

Go through the creative processes we have discussed in previous lessons to help you decide on your content. Think about denoting what you can see in the image and their connotations.

In your writing, remember to try and include the following aspects:

- Multisensory descriptions.
- Vivid descriptions of setting.
- Appropriate atmosphere (using the surrounding environment and the effect that might have on the character).
- Manipulating the reader (creating mystery, enigma, or cliff hangers)
- Interesting characters and how you might introduce them.

No more than two sides of A4.

Creative Writing Still Images- Mulitsensory & Building Blocks Approaches to Writing

In today's lesson we have been looking some of the approaches and skills that can be used for creating a piece of creative writing from a still image.

Can you comment on this post with one of the paragraphs you started to produce in the lesson.

Remember that the paragraph doesn't have to use any characters from the image, it doesn't need to include any of the plot or story line from the film. The image is simply a stimulus, a door way into what you are writing.

Don't forget to put your name on the piece.
